Minjiang University recently brought students together for its 2026 Mid-Autumn Garden Party — a vibrant celebration of Chinese tradition and campus life held at the Zhiqiang Track Field and organized by the university’s Youth League Committee.
The event featured themed zones including an intangible cultural heritage lantern workshop, traditional Mid-Autumn games, and an osmanthus-poetry lane, with hands-on activities such as lantern crafting, rubbing, pitch-pot (a traditional throwing game) and riddle guessing, and tea tasting. The immersive experience drew enthusiastic participation from students across campus.
On the main stage, tradition met youth in a lively blend: handicrafts, folk games, “six arts” experiences, and tech-interactive booths were joined by performances ranging from street dance, Latin dance, and Yue opera to guqin music, Hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) showcases, and pop rock — classical elegance intertwining with youthful energy to paint a vivid picture of campus life.
The garden party served both as a vivid celebration of China’s rich cultural heritage and as a showcase of the university’s student clubs and campus culture. Looking ahead, the university will continue to build signature club activities rooted in traditional festivals, blending Minjiang’s distinctive character with a contemporary spirit to enrich student life and foster cultural identity and a sense of social responsibility.
